It is advisable to read the following carefully. Both you and the landlord will find your and our rights and obligations here. By making a reservation with us, you confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions printed below. We process the personal data you provide during the booking process in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Statement.
Article 1. General
- The following terms and conditions apply to bookings made for the Apartments at Snowy Lodge.
- Snowy Lodge reserves the right to make price changes and/or correct any errors.
- The Agreement is governed by Surinamese law.
Article 2. Booking, Confirmation, Change Fees, Deposit and Payment
- When booking, please indicate how many people will be using the Apartment.
- For reservations made less than 30 days before the booking date, the full booking amount is due immediately.
- For reservations made more than 30 days before the booking date, the deposit is 50% of the booking amount. The deposit must be paid within 7 days. If payment is not made on time, the reservation will be cancelled. The balance (remaining amount) must be paid within 30 days before the booking date.
- Payments shall be made exclusively by bank transfer, unless otherwise agreed.
- The deposit is 250 euros for a booking period of up to 30 nights. For longer stays, the deposit is 500 euros. The deposit shall be paid in cash upon check-in. Access will be refused without a deposit.
- The landlord has the right to deduct any costs incurred due to negligence/damage or failure to clean the Apartment from the deposit. Damage/negligence can usually be recovered from travel insurance. The tenant must report any damage immediately.
Article 3. Cancellation
- Free cancellation period up to 14 days before the booking date
- In case of cancellation within 14 days before the start of the stay, 50% of the booking amount will be charged.
- In case of no-show on the booking date, the full rental amount is due
- In case of early termination of the stay, the full rental amount remains due.
- You must take out cancellation insurance with your own insurer.
Article 4. Smoking, pets, house rules, cleaning, etc.
- Pets are not permitted in the flats.
- Smoking is prohibited in the flats.
- Deep-frying with fat and barbecuing in and around the property is not permitted. Any damage caused by this will be recovered from the tenant immediately and deducted from the deposit.
- House rules available in the flats must be read and followed.
- You must dispose of your own household waste in the designated container.
- The waste does not need to be separated.
- The tenant must leave the kitchen and all utensils used clean.
- Damage will be charged to the tenant and deducted from the deposit.
Article 5. Liability
- Snowy Lodge is not liable for accidents, theft, loss or damage of any kind during or as a result of a stay in one of our flats.
- The tenant is liable for all loss and/or damage to the rented property and its contents, regardless of whether this is the result of acts or omissions by the tenant or by third parties who are present in the rented property with the tenant's permission.
- In the event of careless use or failure to leave the accommodation in a tidy condition, any additional costs (cleaning time) resulting from this will be deducted from the deposit.
- The confirmation states the number of persons renting the Apartment. This number may not be exceeded. Snowy Lodge reserves the right to check this rule and, if necessary, to evict the property.
- If there is a change in the number of tenants, the tenant is obliged to discuss this with Snowy Lodge in advance and to pay the resulting additional costs in advance.
- The tenant is liable for damage to washbasins (e.g. by leaning on them) and blockages of (toilet) drains due to improper use.
- The tenant is liable for staining the new mattresses, all bed linen, towels, chair covers and wooden tables.
Snowy Lodge cannot be held liable for damage or inconvenience caused by circumstances over which it has no or limited influence.
